Each year WHET holds an event coinciding with Riverfest called the Invasion of the Pirates. Last year, we turned things up a notch and changed the name to the Feast of the Pirates in honor of the festivals that took place in the late 1920’s of the same name.
For the 2016 Feast of the Pirates, we will be hosting a pirate ship and over 50 reenactors in a living history encampment. There will also be a kid’s treasure hunt and costume contest, Mad Dog Mike’s Pirate School, merchant’s marketplace, food truck, beer garden, raffles, and of course our crowning event – the Pirate Parrrty!
The 2016 festival dates are Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20th. Our kickoff event, the Pirates Parrrty, will take place Friday, November 18th from 7-11pm
